Words you can quote

In one sentence

Attente is a calm writing app with readers in the margin: it remembers the whole book, notices what a good editor would, and leaves every decision to the writer.

In a paragraph

Attente is a writing app for novelists, screenwriters, academics and game writers. It has the structure long work needs (a binder, corkboard, outline, timeline and story bible) and readers in the margin that notice continuity slips, loose threads and weak lines, explain why, and suggest changes the writer accepts or dismisses. Manuscripts stay on the writer's own computer, are never used to train a model, and can always be exported as plain text. Attente runs on macOS, Windows, Linux and the web, for $79 once.

The name comes from Simone Weil's idea of attention. Read the story behind it.

The logo

A nib at rest, its dot on the baseline like a full stop. Please don't redraw, recolour or set the name in a font instead.

Screens and clips

Real screens of the app, never mock-ups, in light and dark, at 2560 pixels wide. Use them freely with credit to Attente.
